TUE: Cool, Calm & Collected…
Welcome to my Blog, bringing you my weather observations through North East Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, North Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and into the City of York during my daily commute from Melton Mowbray, by car and train.

Cool, Calm & Collected…
Started the day getting a hard layer of ice scrapped from the car this morning in Melton Mowbray. It wasn't a crisp frost where all the pavements are glistening and the grass white over; but the puddles and last night's rain was completely frozen solid. During the drive along the A607 the first hint of dawn began to appear in the East and once on board the train the sun rose bringing a clear morning in a cloudless sky.
On crossing the River Aire near Templehirst I noticed the water spilling over the banks again and pouring into the flood plain.
On arrival into York the frost had thawed and a sunny cool morning welcomed workers to the city.
Tomorrow; A grey damp morning in prospect with an increasing westerly wind!
