THR: Getting stronger, heading north.

Welcome to my Blog, bringing you my weather observations through North East Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, North Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and into the City of York during my daily commute from Melton Mowbray, by car and train.

Thursday 31st January 2008:

Getting stronger, heading north.

Dry and cloudy with a gusty wind over Melton Mowbray this morning. It didn't feel that strong during the drive to Grantham along the A607. Precipitation started as light drizzle around Waltham on the Wolds.

On the train heading north the wind became much stronger with very heavy rain around Retford. Between York and Doncaster the train travelled through a cloud burst close to the North Yorkshire border with very strong winds.

On arrival into York it was much driver with some blue sky breaking through.

Tomorrow; The chill sets in.
