Welcome to my Blog, bringing you my weather observations through North East Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, North Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and into the City of York during my daily commute from Melton Mowbray, by car and train.

Tuesday 5th February 2008:

All clear by morning.

Heavy rain and high winds woke me up at 05:00 this morning, about an hour before I was due to leave home for work; but by the time I left the house all was calm and quiet.

The temperature in Melton Mowbray at 06:30 was 8.3'C and although the rain had stopped there were large puddles along the A607 during the drive to Grantham. During the train ride north to York the cloud cleared nicely to leave a bright sunny morning with patchy cloud.

Tomorrow; A cooler start is forecast, might need the hat again!
