Cold and Grey.

Melton Mowbray 06:30hrs 0.7'C

A chilly start in Melton Mowbray this morning with a thin layer of ice to scrape off the car before the drive to Grantham. It was also clear and bright.. During the drive to Grantham it gradually became cloudy with a layer of high cloud blocking out the morning sunshine.

During the train ride to York the cloud slowly became thicker with York being overcast with grey skies, dry and cool.

Temperature at 06:30 was 0.7'C, lowest recorded overnight temperature 0.3'C.

Tomorrow; Another grey start with perhaps a touch of frost and fog.
