FRI: Leaping into the Grey.
Welcome to my Blog, bringing you my weather observations through North East Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, North Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and into the City of York during my daily commute from Melton Mowbray, by car and train.
Friday 29th February 2008:
Leaping into the Grey.
Melton Mowbray 06:30hrs 3.9'C
The extra day of the year broke cool and grey in Melton Mowbray this morning.
During the drive to Grantham the disk of the rising sun did show itself creeping over the Wolds between Waltham and the village of Croxton. But travelling north on the train to York it's been a theme of clouding over with the threat of rain on the way.
Temperature at 06:30 was 3.9'C, lowest recorded overnight temperature 3.1'C
Pressure at 06:30 was 1007 hPa (falling)
The Weekend & Next Week; Turning colder.
