MON: Rouge Snow.
Welcome to my Blog, bringing you my weather observations through North East Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, North Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and into the City of York during my daily commute from Melton Mowbray, by car and train.
Monday 3rd March 2008:
Rouge Snow.
Melton Mowbray 06:30hrs 0.9'C
The first commute of the new month started clear, sunny and cold in Melton Mowbray this morning. The conditions were the same during the drive to Grantham an on board the train. South of Doncaster shower clouds began to build in the West and by the time the train reached the Eggborough area, close to the M62, a light snow flurry fell. It only lasted a short time and certainly didn't settle.
On arrival into the City of York it's still very cold with more cloud.
Temperature at 06:30 was 0.9'C, lowest recorded overnight temperature 0.7'C
Pressure at 06:30 was 1000 hPa (falling)
Tomorrow: Any overnight snow to content with?
