Welcome to my Blog, bringing you my weather observations through North East Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, North Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and into the City of York during my daily commute from Melton Mowbray, by car and train.

Wednesday 5th March 2008:

Cold start.

Melton Mowbray 06:30hrs minus 5.1'C

The temperature read a very cold minus 5.1'C this morning in Melton Mowbray, I am not sure if it's gone wrong as temperatures as low as that were not on the cards in the forecast last night. It was very clear and sunny first thing and the frost was thick again.

During the commute to York this morning the weather remained pretty much the same until South Yorkshire where more cloud cover was apparent.

On arrival into York it's partly cloudy, cold and bright.

Temperature at 06:30 was minus 5.1'C, lowest recorded overnight temperature minus 5.7'C. Pressure at 06:30 was 1026 hPa

Tomorrow: Grey and Mild.
