Well I have received my final offer today, so here is the full list:University of ReadingMeteorology & Climate with a year in Oklahoma - AB in Maths and Physics plus 100 points from elsewhereUniversity of East AngliaMeteorology & Oceanography - BBBUniversity of BirminghamMathematics - ABBUniversity of LeedsMeteorology & Atmospheric Science - BBBAs Reading have given me an offer, they will undoubtedly be my first choice. If I fail to meet those requirements for the 4 year Oklahoma course, they will put me on the normal Meteorology course which is BBB. East Anglia will probably be my backup. Just the small matter of getting those grades now

Thanks Sammie! Not yet, I have a pretty good idea though of who I am putting as firm and insurance.

I have been invited to a visit day to Reading on January 15th, so that will probably cement it as my firm choice. East Anglia will probably be my insurance, the only thing that puts me off about it though is that it takes about 4 days to get to Norwich, ridiculously far away!

Good luck and well done!

I only have one definite offer so far: AAB Exeter. I was rejected by Durham, and still waiting to hear from Bristol. Last Monday I had my Geography interviews in Christ Church Oxford, so I'm hoping for the best. They seemed to go well but it's difficult to tell.

Been thinking about the Meteorology route and perhaps I could take an MSc in Meteorology after a Geography degree.

Good luck with Oxford. A Geography degree from there will open a lot of promising routes!

Reading do a Meteorology course with a Science Foundation year for those who aren't quite up to scratch with their physics, so there are possibilities.

Best wishes for the Reading Uni course. I am sure you will work hard enough to get those pass marks as you obviously have a big love for meteorology and that is a good incentive. Look forward to hearing in September that you are starting at Reading and look forward in a few years time to your forecasts on here!

Thanks coldfingers! Aha yes, my main aim is to understand some of the complicated posts in the model thread, some day!

love to see this discussion! It’s great to see you all working through the issues and also, it’s great to see recommendations for testing. In the end, it’s what your actual users do and prefer that should be your biggest driver in making these decisions.
