The weather this week has generally been sunny with low temperatures, perfect for those on a half term skiing holiday, a bit more snow expected over the weekend, more especially over the East, but slowly turning a little bit milder from the East into next week.

A very cold East to North Easterly breeze is over the Alps and North Western Europe tomorrow associated with High Pressure over Scandinavia.

this weather pattern continues over the weekend, however the cold uppers of -5c to -13c slowly get replaced by less cold air from the East with the wind more of a North to North Easterly by the end of Sunday., however still with High Pressure dominating over Scandinavia. There is fairly low pressure over the Alps, so there is always the chance of showers, more especially over Eastern areas.

Into next week, and the wind direction reverts back into a East/North Easterly, with uppers temps around freezing, for much of North Western Europe, closer to +5c over Austria causing freezing levels over the Alps to rise.

[size=4][font=arial]A very cold night over the Alps, with some snow in places, more especially towards the East and South East. Patchy precipitation continuing over Austria into the morning, becoming moderate towards SE Austria during the afternoon, with some patchy precipitation over other central and eastern parts of the Alps.[/font][/size]

This pattern continuing towards the afternoon, with moderate precipitation expected for SE Switzerland, Northern Italy, and SW Austria. Showers precipitation possibly quite widely over the Alps for the evening

[size=4][font=arial]Showers overnight continuing into Monday, however these becoming increasing scattered over Western parts, but conversely some may be sharp in places for more astern areas, more especially over Southern Austria. [/font][/size]
