Caldecotte Lake

Caldecotte Lake, an important balancing lake that manages flood water on the River Ouzel just as it enters Milton Keynes.

A great place for family outings, Water sports, bird watching, outdoor adventures and children’s activities, with some quiet corners to explore as well.

During the lake’s excavation engineers discovered the skeleton of an Ichthyosaur, which can now be seen at Milton Keynes Central Library.
