Rain event 6th September 2013

4wd

Not a very good picture as it was still lashing down.

This is normally a small stream which you can stand astride and there's a ford just to left.

It comes down from near Ralphs Cross which is one of the highest parts of the moors.

Through the afternoon water poured off the high ground in torrents and the small stream came well out of normal bounds.

There will be some damage to fences no doubt.

The weather station recorded 52mm most of which fell between 11am and 5pm.

It's likely twice that amount fell over the tops.
