Isolated storm

On a day where most area's are subject to a mid-level inversion; a very select few of locations develop localised storm cells that burst through the CAP ceiling.

This is one of them...it developed over my location and then headed off to southern County Durham where it dumped a massive localised downpour onto a 3-mile stretch of the A1 and parts of Spennymoor, turning roads into rivers for that one part of the north-east; while every where else remained bone dry...
