X Cambo, a Mayan Temple in Yucatan, Mexico

The Yucatan Pennisula is littered with Mayan Ruins. Some unspoilt and off the tourist track. This is XCambo. It cost 20p to get in and no obligation to pay. We were the only people there, apart from a bloke in a hut and his dog on Saturday afternoon. Some of it has been restored - it sits about 5 miles from the north Yucatan coast behind a salt water lagoon. The Mayans enjoyed their salt.
