I was in oldham that day and there was a lot of snow about,[town centre was 3 odd inches ,double the odd drift to 6. Some nice guy after asked ,what's that small of a hill withe snow on called, replied 'ooh you not going up there are you,[in an oldham accent i was fond of,so much bettter than my odd, studenty salfordian accent] ,'no I replied ,but what is it called? 'Saddleworth Moor,he tells.'I genuinely smile ,my stupidly chosen cloth shoes felt a little less bothesome as I sloshed away thimking of the wonders of Oldham.I thik th city is lovely as are the surrounding areas.Plus way better winter weather [well snow] and be able to travel higher for more snow. as don't drive moter vehicles.
