    There's some rain showers showing up on the radar over East Kent right now but on the ground there's nothing, the sky went quite dark for a time though.

    I didn't fancy the chances in Dover again, just a light sugar sprinkling that is already thawing in the sun on the hills Hopefully we get our chance tomorrow/friday...

    The dusting we got in Dover has all but melted already. I hope we have a chance of proper snow still, not really fancying our chances just now. I know what a streamer can deliver like the few we had in the early 2010's so it is a little gutting that it missed us this time!

    There was a massive thunderclap here in Dover earlier, it woke a lot of people up (evidently from bedroom lights going on). Some pretty heavy rain right now too.

    Holy Moly, I'm in Dover and it's just constant flashes and booms.

    My word, the channel has lit up like crazy, I'm gonna unplug for sure if/when that reaches here. It's been raining constantly here for hours but no thunder/lightning since evening.

    There's quite a lot going on in Northern France/Belgium right now, looking on lightning maps, whether it makes it over here remains to be seen, it would appear to be heading in the direction of the channel.

    We just had some snow/sleet pass through here in Dover. Pretty surprised really, I've never seen it this late before.

    just had a pretty decent squall here in Dover, one moment it was calm and the next blowing a gale with torrential rain almost horizontal, it turned to sleet since with a few moments of snow which has settled around the frames of the windows.

    Whole lot of nothing here in East Kent, I felt we have a chance and it looks like we may clip the edge of it, It's showing PPN over us on the radar but nothing down here on the ground as yet. Not expecting anything too exciting but any snow would be a bonus.

    Getting pretty windy here in Dover. I just heard a crash in the back garden, two metal patio chairs stacked together went for a ride along the patio and crashed against a gate!

    We just got new, highly efficient windows so I am hoping we can avoid using it except for in the real cold snaps. Already noticing the warmth/draught difference compared to the 30yr old upvc we had before, it was falling apart!

    lots of lightning over the channel here in Dover but it looks like the whole lot is missing us and it heading into northern France/Belgium!

    We had a storm pass just off the coast of Dover last night but since then it's very humid, it's made it very uncomfortable! I was expecting more of a storm personally.

    Watching the bournmouth cam, Oh my word! It's absolutely insane!!

    Wet snow alternating with sleet here in Dover, way too wet from earlier rain for it to settle. I have not long returned from three months in the Australian sun so this weather, although not really cold, feels especially cold to me. I just wish this was a proper snow event and not this marginal stuff. We do seem to be getting a streamer going.

    The scene in Dover earlier, I recorded it also, it was moving at usain bolt velocity!

    just had a big front line roll in here in Dover, pretty amazing site, it was very calm and then all of a sudden the wind whipped up and there's finally a nice breeze. Now it's very dark and there has been a few flashes and rumbles but nothing major yet.

    Seems to be going the way of the pear here in East Kent already. After a low of -3.1c last night it has now risen to +2.8c with a dp of +0.7c. I didn't expect it to warm up this quickly!

    It's been snowing in Dover since around 6pm. we have over an inch now. possible heading for two. Here's the scene right now. doesn't look like the snow is going to stop for hours. It's sure come as a surprise.

    It is starting to snow in Dover, East Kent, looks like we will get something after all! I think Kaddy is right looking at the radar, we will get some tonight but it wont be anything to right home about.

    So, how many hands deep will the coming snow be? I'll take the hoof if it's less than one! It's certainly warmed up fast today here in East Kent, the snow that fell yesterday/last night is thawing.

    Looks like the wind turned the right way for East Kent to catch a shower streamer, It's snowing here in Dover with a cm or two covering.

    Temp: -0.5c DP:-2.6c 86% Humidity a snow dusting of 1cm or so on grass/trees/roofs and metal surfaces Here's hoping for some more snow over the coming days.

    Thanks! well I think I made it look a little too vivid in my editing but it was certainly there. I guess it has something to do with ice crystals within the clouds.
