    Sugar dusting on roads of snow but we have had a shed load of freezing rain followed by normal rain. Just need the kitchen sink and we're good lol

    here in north kent for the third night in a row we have had no frost.... wondering why as its so damn cold out there .. and all the local weather forecasts said hard frost for us... any ideas ?

    light snow grains here in cliffe, north kent...settleing on cars/grass - not on roads/pavements. Feels very cold, no breeze or anything.

    Dunno about anyone else but the countryfile forecast for the week seemed to be more a general outline, no real specifics were given and I expect it will change a lot

    Looking for Bftp or mr s murr to bring some calm and hope to this thread - hoping they will give some snow prospect info this week / hint Anyway in the meantime I have stocked the cupboards and got my gloves at the ready ! Hoping to need a snow shovel too this week not just the de-icer

    I know we are expecting a lot of snow [hopefully ?] overnight tonight BUT I thought the whole southern half of the UK was expecting snow on Monday? Warnings seem to have changed again and i can find anything here or in the model discussion for Monday ! Anyone shed any light ? thx p.s about an inch fell last night bringing total to around 3 inchs laying snow...pretty lame considering some areas of Kent have had sooooo much more

    the BBC forecasts seem to have become quite vague the last cpl of days and rarely showing 'snow' but instead 'saying' it will snow in certain parts - i guess this is because its so hard to forecast even a few hours away. Best is to keep an eye on radar and u can pretty much work it out for yourself !

    Anyone knowledgable have any idea of timings of the main snow for IMBY and for south london. ? Hubby is at work in south london and dont want him to possibly get stuck up there, thinkin roads may start to get bad when it all kicks off. we had only 1cm last night ! very icy. Having the odd flurry atm. thx

    its a nightmare lol every N24 forecast is changing by the hour - tonight is actually looking 'better' for N Kent peeps. Wednesdays snow however dosent seem to make it to us until late afternoon....just goes to show how fickle this is and yes - all looks like its shifting a tad east....some ppl no doubt will be caught out and others not. Next week tho the easterly wind is gonna be ouch !

    just seen the N24 forecast and tbh i wouldnt wanna be living in woking ! had a 30cm warning sign slapped over it. - The snow looks to be encroaching through to east kent by midnight tonight and looks to continue mostly thru the night and tomorrow !....Snow showers Thursday for the SE then the Easterly winds kick in for the foreseeable ! Time to dig out the candles again and get prepared ! best to be safe than sorry.

    Going by winters past i will be surprised if north & east kent dont at least get a cm or two from tonight - its clouding over and looks like it wants to do something ! Wouldnt be surprised to see some random snow flurrys cropping up this eve/tonight. Tomorrow looks more hopeful of snow for kent - and for most of the day, as someone said earlier this is just the start - the end of the week looks a whole lot snowier/colder and windyer too!
