  1. Polar, that first picture is quality, that must of produced a funnel, its more or less complete. That lighting strike on the tyne bridge is unreal, i would pay for an image like that to stick on the wall lol
  2. Well our thunderstorm arrived, as the storm was approaching, there was some crazy cloud formation going on, i thought at one point i would see my first ever live tornado, there was definitely rotation in the sky. I have got some footage on my phone which i will try and upload tomorow. All in all not a bad storm, lasted for about 30 minutes, a touch cooler but wouldnt mind another storm later or is that asking too much?
  3. Last time i checked we were due for thunderstorms mid to late afternoon, there does seem to be some darker clouds pushing through, the wind is picking up and is still very humid so i think its looking good.
  4. Just had a heavy downpour here in boro, no thunder as yet but so humid, the wind is also picking up too!!!
  5. Hey guys, its not very often i post here during the summer, im more of a winter nut ha ha. I had to reply here just for the fact its not very often, I hear heavy slow moving thunderstorms from late afternoon into the evening for the teesside area!!! Maybe a good chance to try the new camara out, if it actually happens lol.
  6. Morning all, when I finally went to bed last night it was down to -3 here and its hovering at 0 degrees now, the dew point is at -0.6. Some of the more experienced posters in the model thread are saying a return to possible snowy weather next weekend guys. So hopefully the whole region will see some decent snow in the coming weeks. I hope we get a decent and prolonged spell though (fingers crossed)
  7. Really sad to hear that JP1972, thoughts going out to all his family.
  8. I can confirm we have 3-5cms here and i'm closer to the coast than snowstorm, wonder how much redcar recieved today?
  9. The met office has the whole region under the amber alert for tomorow also, is that the next spell of snow now?
  10. Well that was a touch better than I was expecting, 3-5 cms here, snow has stopped here but the sky over your way snowstorm still seems full of it.
  11. Something is brewing, getting very dark here snowstorm and its bloody freezing, extra jacket for the match I think.
  12. They said it would be a very chilly night after the snow has passed through, so I reckon it will still be intact alza
  13. sky news weather report is looking very tasty for all the north east, could see some decent totals if there correct. The BBC look north had a very simalar report also, I reckon its game on today.
  14. I've just seen the look north's forecast for tomorow and I've got to say ''I'm wondering why eveyones so confused, it seemed pretty straight forward to me, from newcastle all the way down to the east coast 5-10cms, bring it on, they seemed pretty confidant to me and they are the pro's ( or ment to be ha ha )
  15. To be fair Snowstorm we are in a funny position when its comes to snow, there has been many times in the past when just up the road in Durham, Sunderland, and Newcastle have had a shed load of snow and we have had sleety muck, believe it or not this happens more often than not. Also even further down the road southwards they get snow and we miss out. The last two winters have been an exception, I think TWS has mentioned this about our area in the past, we have to have the right set up to see any decent amount of snow. I am still pretty confidant about seeing a few showers tomorow and lets be honest guys, its good just to have some wintry weather, so whoever gets snow, enjoy mines a fosters
