    Absolute down pour of rain here in sunny st Helens

    Northerly, Easterly whatever the wind direction we see either nothing or rain these days. It's been always on the cool side here in st Helens all winter but just absolutely zero snow at all.

    It feels colder today/tonight than it did yesterday here but if it actually is I don't know. However for St helens which is usually wet and mild it feels colder.

    Warnings now taken back to ice, let's hope Feb produces something. First winter where it's been cold nearly all winter but produced absolutely no snow.

    What always amuses me is southern areas are colder than we are and see more snow than we do. Unfortunately when the south get snow it becomes national news. I was disappointed by this 'cold snap' here in sunny st Helens.

    don't know how to upload pictures but we have 6cm of snow here and still coming down. its very bad now.

    rain turned to super sized snow flakes here and everything is white, never seen snow like it in my life. haydock area.

    it snowed here then stopped, not heavy at all.

    dry here in haydock but I feel this will be a sleet event rather than anything amazing. I only remember one cold to mild event that resulted in lots of snow here, I am sure there have been more tho.

    met office has updated to heavy show for me until 3pm, in which I have to get to work, bad times.

    now this is snow, woke up to a proper covering and white fluffy snow falling and did not expect it.

    light dust coming down here, had a thaw last night in haydock, we lost quite a bit. going on a date today so for once hoping the snow shield is working here. x

    yeah went outside and its very light snow, does look like rain tho via the window. so is Sunday night round 2 for us?

    its starting to stop now, was nice tho, apart from some idiot in are street salted the whole street so nothing stuck. grrrr elf and safety mad.

    well looked at radar and looked outside and we between 2 heavy patches but its starting to dye here. hopefully tonight it will be frosty.

    isn't the plan for all that to track eastward back on itself leaving st Helens down to Liverpool in nice green snow
