  1. I love a good storm but this is just a bit too much. Wonder where did i put that valium?
  2. Thankfully not quite as bad as that one. I remember going for a walk the following morning and couldnt believe my eyes - trees down everywhere
  3. Absolute beast of a storm here in County Antrim, worst in years. Reminds me of the 1998 boxing day storm.
  4. Sounds like quite an experience. Normally the storms here are just a few rumbles, well spaced apart then it's gone. This year they've been more intense but not quite in the constant roar category!
  5. Tremendous storms in N Ireland today. Frequent lightning and the thunder was constant at times with rumbles rolling into each other.
  6. Back edge of the rain band turning thundery across N Ireland. Quite a bit of distant lightning.
  7. A few rattles of thunder here in N Ireland but nothing on the scale of Sundays storm (pics below)
  8. 3 separate storms here today in Co Antrim with some really intense rain. More forecast for tomorrow and Friday.
  9. Scorching again today here in N Ireland with more record highs likely. Aldergrove airport reporting 26C at 9.40 am
  10. No thunder here today but some really impressive convection.
  11. Yep really good storms here today. No strikes quite as near as this one from 2017 as it struck a transformer a couple of hundred yards from the house
  12. A 3rd line of heavy rain through N Ireland - no lightning this time unlike earlier! Strange cloud formations all day with distinct banding visible at times
