  1. Absolutely stunned and shocked.. storm chasing has lost it's innocence. What a tragedy!
  2. Welcome to NetWeather.tv Jo! I'm based in Fife, so it's great to have some more Scottish representation on NetWeather. :-) You may see the NetWeather logo'ed mobile weather lab beetling around Scotland from time to time too. Cheers, Graham
  3. Sounds like a couple of exciting developments Paul! Looking forward to giving both of those a bash!!

  5. Great to see things growing for NetWeather.tv Paul! Must be exciting having to take on additional server capacity to meet the increasing demand. Hope the migration goes smoothly. Never an easy task!!
  6. I really enjoyed Nick's presentation and in particular, his reference to the charts.. this is definitely a great way to learn by seeing and experiencing the unfolding weather with reference to the model output. Finally a weather forecast for those that want to understand, rather than be spoon fed! Really looking forward to the next instalment!
  7. You've done a great job of keeping it steady on the railings!! Very resourceful of you! Good luck with the interview too, hope it works out for you. I love living up here (I wan ex-pat Aussie by upbringing) and what we miss out on in storms, we get with highland scenery. :) Cheers, Graham
  8. Wow, brilliant videos.. really interesting to see the rotation so clearly. You did a good job to steady the camera. Were you shooting from a tripod, or did you manage to find something to lean on? The 4 x speed makes all the difference too. Thanks for sharing the videos, hoping to do my first run of storm-spotting this year (not that we get very many up this way )
  9. Sounds really interesting Joey, looking forward to seeing the vid!!
  10. It really is quite frightening watching these windspeeds: This station is at Les Portes en Ré http://perso.numericable.fr/lesportesenre/ The graphs further down the above web-page show the approaching low and the frightening wind-speeds that have accompanied it. I'm not sure if this station is still updating, as the WeatherDisplay Live timestamp now seems stuck at 02:06am.
  11. I need to go back to November to see any double digit temps from my station in Fife! The closest we came since teh start of December was 9.9 °C on Jan 27 at 13:10.
  12. It's been an odd mix during the past 36 hours in Fife. Fairly reasonable snowfall yesterday (around 7-8 centimetres) turing to sleet by late afternoon and continuing to fall as sleet overnight, as temperatures rose. The temps have been on the up again since sunrise today and have only just peaked at 4.4°C. Interesting to see the temps go up after sundown yesterday and the drop again in the early hours of this morning: http://www.fifeweath...hourgraphs.html Cheers, Graham
