    This snowfall was not forecast, snow was only forecast to fall on hills above 400m must have been the cooling effect due to the heavy precipitation. Snow has now turned back to rain.

    9 times out of 10 a NW/N flow does not bring any snow showers to Edinburgh apart from a disturbance in the flow!!

    Then the rise in temps tomorrow night and the thaw finally kicks in for the south!!

    Hopefully we get some troughs developing in the Northerly flow or it will just be Coastal showers apart from Northern Scotland, here in SE Scotland we need a more NE feed for the showers to come inland!!
