It is starting to melt in my garden now

Pain in the bum for you not being able to work but I think learner drivers are the last thing we need out there today. I am putting off learning to drive until all the snow has gone, I figure the last thing this town needs is me (who seems to struggle controlling my own two feet) in control of a chunk of metal on icy roads LOL

I am going nowhere today! I got my food shopping done yesterday so I have no reason to leave the house. I am all set for it to snow for the next week at least (wishful thinking I know LOL)

Meltz I live up near Vandyke but the kids are at school near you. I can't believe that the upper schools have now shut and a few middle schools but the lower schools are staying open. Ours seems determined to stay open til 3:15. It is madness out there on the roads and I have watched the Gilbert's kids on their way home slipping all over the paths. I am glad I decided not to take mine in today as 3pm will be chaos! While I appreciate the schools trying to open I also think it is rather silly and forcing unnecessary traffic on already dangerous roads.

The roads are deadly already even Stanbridge Road so there is not much hope for the side roads. All schools are open but TBH I am not willing to risk trying to get there. Fingers crossed that this is just the start of it and we are going to get at least 5 inches LOL

I followed a link from this site and my local forecast shows what looks like snow showers at midnight tonight and 3pm onwards and Wednesday for most of the day but only a slight chance. Should I be getting excited here or what?? Simon, you make more sense of this stuff than me LOL

I am with you on that one, Last night I woke up every hour almost to look out of the window but my dreams didn't come true. Tonight will be my first proper sleep since before christmas but I still hold out hope of waking to find a nice fresh blanket of snow outside.

Very very fine snow in LB now, you have to really look hard to see it but it is snow non the less LOL

We had a sprinkle earlier, quite a bit but short lived. Surrounding areas seem to be getting it though (apart from MK ). Fingers crossed that we get some more.

Cheers for the heads up Simon, I had just about given up on tonight. Even a small flurry is enough to keep me happy

I am so confused, earlier reports said we would be getting a flurry later on today but now they have changed it. It now looks like we wont get any more til the weekend. Can any of you tell me which is likely to be right? I am in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. TIA

Snowing again in Leighton Buzzard, not very impressive flakes as of yet but certainly lots of them. In fact they are starting to beef up a bit now

Does it look like the blizzard in MK is heading Leighton Buzzard way?

Simon65 I am not convinced this is going to settle. It is certainly picking up speed but no coverage as of yet. Fingers crossed for a decent amount of cover by morning though.
