Sorry if this is a silly question but are winds stronger nearer the eye of the storm or further away from it? I'm in Norwich so as the storm leaves the UK just north of Norfolk I was just wondering if that is when the strongest winds will be.

Getting used to disappointment from met office weather forecasts - i've yet to see a weather warning actually happen as forecast. Think i'll just give up watching the weather and assume each day that nothing is going to happen in Norwich. And before anyone says it's on it way, it will split down the middle as it always does and allow Norwich to pass straight through unharmed. -

The rain has finally reached Norwich, any chance of some lightning tonight???

Hopefully we will get some larger flakes in Norwich, 5hrs of small snow, about 3cm

There seems to be a line of death from just north of cambridge to south of Norwich and into the north sea where any heavy stuff turns to light when it passes over it. Anyone know why?
