  1. Thanks BA, I was trying to find that exact chart but struggling to find it on Meteociel. What I'm trying to figure out is; did the ensembles suddenly flip to showing this outcome or was it more gradual? As in, if I looked at the mean on the 22nd of November (the day before the chart above) would you be able to tell that was the direction of travel?
  2. Thanks CC, was this shown in the models (ECM/GFS) Or the anomaly charts/longer range?
  3. I'm interested to know if there were signs of the Dec cold spell from looking at this chart? Or would this be the kind of chart that any cold for the following 4 weeks would be written off? Also, did the last cold spell arrive from a period of zonality or was it well modelled prior? TIA
  4. Have to agree with you there, barely a dusting here in Ramsgate, been working up Rochester all week and all the way down to Broadstairs / Margate border seems to have had good accumulations, yet here in Ramsgate we've had minimal, we have been extremely unlucky to miss out on the worst. Still great to see everyone else enjoying it, just a shame it's not on your doorstep to enjoy.
  5. That's a shame especially if we do end up having snow through til Wednesday, luckily iv got my 3yo nephew who loves the snow as much as me, at least we have this forum to exaggerate about our blizzards and ten foot snow drifts lol!
  6. We have had blizzard conditions since last night although the showers have been on and off, I'd say we have had at least 6" in Thanet, and drifts of 1' plus or 60 kentimetres lol, about time we had a decent dumping of snow, the amount of times we have missed out and the rest of the South East have had decent snowfalls, I think its about time we had our fair share come down & look for yourself if you don't believe us! :s
  7. Woke up to snow up to a foot deep in places here in Ramsgate absolutely amazing chuffed 2 bits.Still snowing heavy here now.
  8. Its coming down thick and fast in Ramsgate, drifting in the wind, beautiful, hopefully it will continue through the night and the people of Thanet wake up to a foot...dream on lol! : ) Hope them showers get pushed far inland so anyone who's missed out might wake up to at least a dusting.
  9. everything now white here in Ramsgate after a heavy shower, plently of dark clouds on their way by the looks of it. Bring it on! Blizzard Again.....this has got to be the heaviest snow if seen in long time!
  10. Morning peeps, currently snowing heavy in Ramsgate, starting to settle in places, struggling to stick to roads though, hard to make out what is going to happen next week its been an up and down ride reading the models this week. I love the way some people take every single run as if it is going to happen then when it doesn't how downbeat they become! Shower stopped then started again, should be more later, if neilsouths map is anything to go by, fingers crossed!
  11. Morning all, long time lurker finally joined, light rain / sleet here in Ramsgate, looking forward to snow later in week as the colder uppers take hold. Dewpoint 1c 33.8F, Air Temp 3.8c 38.8F
