  1. Netweather some way out today on rain forecast - total of 12mm between midnight and 11:30a.m. then dry with gaps in the cloud. No torrential rain at 12:00-15:00. Wind speeds peaked around 8:00a.m. with average speed at 40mph with gusts to 50mph. Now quite calm at around 10mph. Temp is 10C. Baro 963mb steady.
  2. Overcast but dry. Fresh breeze though. Temp 13C; Wind SE 20-25mph; Baro 999 falling slowly
  3. Currently overcast on Worthing seafront - where's the forecast sun?? Temp 16 : Wind W 7-10MPH : Pressure 1014
  4. I own a Canon 400D (just over 2 years now) the kit 18-55mm lens, a Canon 28-135mm Ultrasonic IS (which I'm very impressed with and which stays on the camera most of the time), a cheapo Canon 70-300mm USM which does the job but isn't great. All lenses have UV filters mainly for protection. Just been reading a good review of a Tamron 18-270mm lens which would make all of my current lenses obsolete!! Also own an aging Sony P150 which is a great little camera for nights out and when trying to travel light and somewhere in the back of a cupboard I have an old film Canon AV1 dating back to around 1981. Like others here I spent a long time trying to decide whether to go Canon or Nikon but in the end the Canon felt slightly more comfortable in my hands.
  5. Forecast for Worthing much more accurate today - we've had steady drizzle since 06:45. Totally overcast and feeling muggy although only 19c. Wind SW around 18 mph.
  6. Original a.m. forecast showed minimal cloud this morning on South Coast (Worthing) but actually completely overcast by 07:45 and has remained that way until 5 minutes ago. Cloud forecasting often seems to be quite inaccurate which is always puzzling because vis. satellite maps clearly show the cloud but the models don't always capture even when the mid morning model runs it can be way out compared to reality. ??
  7. Sea fog/low cloud spoiling weather here on the Sussex coast . Cloud clearly visible on SAT24.COM.
