  1. Model latency : Specifically, latency, is the measure of time before a weather model is run and the availability of the latest data to make a forecast. For example, if a regional weather model is set to run at 12:00 (noon) for a specific location, satellite data that are received at 11:00 a.m. would be considered 1-hour latency.
  2. Thanks for posting. That's what is great about the regional threads, a chance to discuss weather past and present.
  3. The GFS is having non of ton iughts rain across the south east. How can it literally show nothings when all the other models are showing a rain event that might bring th ed most rain we have seen in two months.
  4. Wow, from 26c on the 11th October to a high of -4c in just 16 days! Never get that here although it was 17c here today from a daytime high of just 7c a week ago.
  5. Still raining, currently 11c. I recorded 14mm of rain today. Wind is light.
  6. Great Video - its like those vidoes you see from the States. Anyone notice that small 'orb' of light in the centre of the image that appears between 1.03 mins and 1.23 ? I thought it was just a headlight on an airoplane but it jumps across the sky at some point.
