i have a late start this morning so watching the lovely snow fall in newcastle......its taking the stress of work away . temp hovering around 0 and a wee breeze. everything is white .

lucky day today for me.....working in Spennymoor Co Durham at 3pm on top of a hill with lightning bolts dancing all around me, Then this evening at home in Newcastle watching spiders of lightning dance across the sky with some ground bolts hitting the elevated rail line 400 yrds from my house. a happy happy chappy. sadly no pics as i was just happy watching and could not be arsed fafing about

well im off snowboarding this weekend just wondering where in Scotland to go ..... they are struggling to dig out the tows the top of cairngorm they are reporting 7/8 meters of snow

my parents live just south of peterhead their house is on top of a wee hill about 1km from the coast they are both now in there mid 60s and my dad has just gone for a walk in the wind to see what its like lol. nearest reports i can get are that its gusting towards 80mph up there. wish i still lived there i used to love the winter storms

very heavy rain storm and gusty winds just passed through my area of newcastle. grey all morning now its sunshine wind and showers anyone taking bets on max wind gusts today :0p

just to confirm thundersnow and lightning in newcastle ne6 abot 30 mins ago and it looks like more to come 6pm ish
