  1. Think the main fun will be tonight. Who would have thought lamp post watching on the 29th April!
  2. I was hibernating for the impending summer. But jings the snow in Campbeltown has fair woken me up. If it's snowing that far west this could be a really interesting 24 hours!
  3. Snow potential tonight. I read somewhere about the potential for Siberian winds middle of next week!
  4. So as usual we wait for Spring to get our hopefully best snowfall of 2016. Looks like it could be the real McCoy this time.
  5. Light snow here. Same blob but I am on the top edge. Could be an interesting night.
  6. Last two nights couple of nutters undertook me cause I was doing 55 in a 60. I was turning right on dual Carriageway onto M73, so had to be in outside Lane. They tailgated pulled into left Lane then jumped in front of me. I turned in 200m. Crazy.
  7. White out on some North West cams! Interesting blob tracking south east from Oban. Could hit Central Scotland. might be an hour of snow.
  8. -5 overnight and -2 now. Some showers hitting East Lothian now.
  9. Good 3cm now. I take it all back. Could be our best fall of the winter.
  10. Game over here. Uppers must be too warm. -1c and sleety drizzle.
  11. I think we are finally getting the snow on the mountains this week. Meto are suggesting prolonged sub zero over 2000ft. Next weekend could be a belter. I will go midweek to avoid the rush.
  12. Back edge snow tonight according to BBC...I am clutching at any straw now.
  13. Some consolation to us skiers is that the mountains might get a good pasting over the next 10 days. At least if we can get a decent last half of the ski season it would make up for the lack of lowland snow. Planning Outlook All mountain areas of Britain from Friday 5th February 2016 Unsettled over the next 10 days to a fortnight, and generally cold on the mountains. Later in next week, incoming low pressure systems may well track further south than recent times. A cold front passes south-east during this Friday, and from then on, freezing levels will often be around 750m even as far south as Wales - and often lower on the Scottish Highlands. Snowfall is likely to be considerable and may well consolidate as far south as higher areas of south Wales.
  14. Snow chances or prolonged cold spell are now diminishing. I can't see much in the charts which indicates some real winter. More mush on Thursd/Frid and ski resorts don't need another thaw. Cooler at the weekend but not cold. We could get late Feb snow but ski resorts take a while to get going without a base. Kind of glad I went to Glenshee when it was good as no guarantees now.
  15. Leaving the Weeg shortly ...not looking forward to the walk over the clyde to the car!
  16. Anyone think there is snow potential when this storm drags some coldr uppers in?
