  1. West and South Yorkshire should do pretty well out of this. Maybe not as much as the midlands but sometimes these things can be 20 miles further north when they finally appear on the radar (also could be further south)I don’t see why certain posters are being so downcast and saying this will hit further south, that’s not what the models or the Met Office are saying.
  2. Based on what? Pessimism? or the models? Will get colder as the front moves up towards us, might be marginal on the coast but 10 miles inland it will all be snow and the dewpoints are low enough for it to accumulate
  3. They must be expecting some snow showers to blow in land as I cant see anything that significant on the radar or on the NAE.
  4. . Chill out the nae and gfs have been as useless as a chocolate fireguard recently, it might have been pushed 50 miles east in the morning. Also just because we might not get anything why does it mean that those in the west (who never do that well snow wise) shouldn't?
  5. http://www.bbc.co.uk...-of-winte.shtml Paul Hudson has updated his blog. Basically were going to see snow for several hours tomorrow with it being sleet or rain on the back end. It should be stressed though that this isn't set in stone, the only way to find out what will actually happen tomorrow is looking at the radar and nowcasting, this situation is stretching the most experienced forecasters so try not to take much notice of some of the wrist slashers on here are saying (not so much this regional forum but some posters in the significant snow thread). We could be subject to small upgrades or small downgrades in the morning check out the high res models for details of this.
  6. TBH Harsh Climate, I think us in Leeds will do quite well out of this. Lots in the model thread seem to think the Atlantic front will be further West than the models are predicting. Not all model output was bad either, ECM was good the higer res models also show an all snow event for Yorkshire. I suppose there is a chance the snow could turn to rain on its back end but it's all about watching the radar and the NMM tomorrow. Maybe the 12zs will lift your spirits
