  1. So, Nick, does your university offer access to ECMWF data and products? Maybe by recognizing the IP address of the university or something?
  2. The weather graphics on TV are made with NAE, so I'm guessing that the 5-day forecasts are a direct output for that model. That's for the UK, for the rest of the world, it's the global model, again with direct output. Met Office's forecasters, I'm guessing, correct the direct outputs, and probably use several, including their experimental models, so that is why it might be so different.
  3. Given that Sky seems to have recently updated its graphics and BBC signed a new contract with the Met Office, I'm hoping BBC will update its look soon. Though no news or rumours on that one.
  4. Has this decision ever been implemented? Rob McElwee is currently on BBC News, from 19:25 to 22:00, and it seems to be his usual slot, together with Peter Gibbs and Philip Avery.
  5. The forecast you saw is called Weatherview and goes on the news channel at 9:25 and 9:55 pm every night. It's later aired again by BBC One somewhere around 1 am, I think, the timeslot changes every day. What did he say?
