  1. My met office app has a lot of heavy snow forecast overnight but I’m sure I e read somewhere not to trust it - is that correct? The radar looks like the snow will have passed by 10 and we’ve only had a dusting (just outside Salisbury).
  2. I’m just a little bit to the north of you (just under the dark dot in the pink bit!) and we have a few flakes blowing in the wind and a very slight covering now, but not much!
  3. it has been drizzly and misty for the past hour or so, suddenly out of nowhere some absolutely massive snoflakes fell, like goose feathers, now back to mist.
  4. Pitton - probably 4.5 miles E of Salisbury. Snowing moderately now but only small flakes with the occasional whopper thrown in.
  5. ...and, 5 minutes after I get back inside and change my soaking, cold clothes, the icy rain turns back to snow. Typical!!
  6. yuck - just come back in from walking the dogs and it's turned from pleasant snow to persistent icy rain. Horrid!
  7. Its been sleeting for the last couple of hours but has just turned to moderate snow in the last few minutes with the occasional large flake thrown in.
  8. Light snow just started falling here between Salisbury/Stockbridge. We had monster flakes yesterday which only settled for a couple of hours - hope this morning's effort is better!
  9. Im just outside Salisbury (Pitton) and we just had an intense snowstorm and now it has eased to light/moderate. Settling better today!
  10. Has been snowing lightly outside Salisbury for the past hour or two. Looking forward to plenty more although we still have tons!
  11. About 8.5cm so far near Salisbury and snowing very heavily indeed! I went out at 6.30 to hay the horses and the wind was blowing the snow horizontally across the fields. Wind has eased off now though, its lovely!
  12. I can report the rare and thrilling sight of a couple of miniscule flakes of snow falling here in Wiltshire!
  13. I'm a long-term lurker as I have nothing of interest to add - but I just want to say I'm so excited!!! I'm even going to venture into the loft to locate and prepare the fleet of sledges (which will guarantee hours of rain).
