Looking like a late winter this year. When I mean late I mean a significant and consist drop in temperatures and overnight low minus figures. It’s like a late autumn

Just been reviewing data from several different websites. I understand its elnino but jesus christ there doesnt seem to be hardly any cold intrusions. In the 6 years gritting, with the data I have seen so far and i know things can change but it looks like this will be a record breaking mild winter! rain rain and more rain.

Well well well..... This is a mild winter. Not looking at all cold. Nice to have Christmas with the kids and rest and not out in it but be nice to get something done in January/February/March. How do these months look on the models?

Just had a warning for snow later this week? My work is low down M4 sites. How low are the temperatures going?

Evening All, First post of the winter and a panicking one.! One of my mates who is high in the council said that gritter lads are on call sunday! I dont read the papers but I know I normally tend to do my first grit of the winter around the last week of november. This seems really early. Im in Neath and all my sites are along the M4. I havent carried out any prep this winter as yet due to other business activities but should I be worrying? If there is truth in it, I got 2 days to get some plans in place. Feedback be great !!!

Evening All.................I'm Back !!......which means one thing! and one thing only! The cold is due to make a return!!!

This has been my worst winter for business for a very long time. The fat lady hasn't sung yet and hopefully March will give us a week or two of cold frosty days. Mother Nature always seems to have a way of balancing things out, but this winter that philosophy is right out the window.!

Hi All................. Are we likely to get any cold by the end of this so called poor of an excuse of a winter?????? No ones come out of bermudas and tank tops in Neath this winter. Sun bed shops are taking a hammering.

Is there any truth in March being cold??? Couple of people has said it to me

Just got in from gritting #chaching£££. Temperature dropped like a lead balloon in last hour out..raining and now absolutely freezing. Queue the "ice"......unless I have been there of course!!!
