Eddy Storm

Bored now..storm number three in one day and ok no mighty shakes yet,phew,that monkey really gave me a dirty look..swine i'll have him... Foxes are now extinct in these parts..look for the Resus..monkey this week at least :!: chuck me a banana..

Dark cloud all round and another brief bout of thunder/lightning nice c-g this time as opposed to the last storm about 5pm mostly c-c.. On the local tv forecast it mentioned a three pronged attack...blimey this is the second .. :shock: Though died down again looking slightly ominous to my south...maybe they will be right.

Kicking off now..first rolls of thunder just cannot work out where exactly position of storm is..quite strange but no precip just yet. The skies have answered.

Can't see much at the moment right here..clouds building won't be long

Supercell, i do not think i have ever seen such red and white echoes on precip radar in that lot and so widespread/organised they were until it reached me bah! and yes your part of the universe were under them

Nice photos and yes that wavy very structured and almost supercell looking clouds all drifted towards me too an amazing rounded edge to it i thought wow!! then it turned into a damp squib here as it just billowed away to my west :-x all at the very last minute.... :cry: I certainly wouldn't like to have be standing at a bus stop that evening :-o :shock: :twisted: :roll:

The haze and gloom is gradually lifting and now looking very ominous to my south/southeast..convection is going into overdrive again as it does in these sort of conditions. An all or nothing day again today

Well this is it.Very distant rumbles of thunder now heard and AM radio cracking like crazy,every few seconds or so!after checking on all available sferic and radar data a bumpy ride to come i will shortly be unplugging everything that is infact unpluggable.Just to add this morning the tragic incident of a boy killed by lightning i live approx five to six miles away to say the least i am in a complete state of shock especially when it happends so near. Please be careful this is looking like headline making storms. Cheers.

First visible lightning at about 7.20am too murky for any real lightning show,more like thundery rain than a good thunderstorm but what the hell it was better than nowt' and the garden is looking better for it

It is still a rather pleasant 24 c or 75 f a little hazy to my south west and humidity creeping upwards.Wind has dropped somewhat with afternoon breezes dissappearing. Sticky night to follow i do think.

Hit 27c 81 f today very hazy if not overcast at the moment..London managed a 30c max today i think perhaps locally 31c was indeed reached somewhere,getting close to that magic 90f phew.

Apart from an abundance of ants,swines! its sunny intervals although pretty hazy and a little sticky.Clouds appear to build then almost fade away again temperature 26 c or 79 in old money.Wind mostly light and variable.
