solar minimum

I absolutely detest SW'ly winds as they often bring a sheet of low cloud and drizzle. I mean, what is the point of drizzle? This year we seem to be getting far too many SW'ly winds, humid overcast weather, no good to man or beast!

Same here in Tamworth,although we did have a brief storm here last Friday evening about tea time, with hail too. Other than that we have been 10 to 15 away from any storms, but as I type now it's gone fairly dark, with some rain but no thunder, after early frontal rain has cleared.

Not looking good for us In Tamworth again, I will be very surprised if I see anything other than the odd rumble of thunder with heavy rain! Thinking back to the 1980's and early to mid '90s we did quite well for storms here especially overnight ones,the BBC very rarely mention the word thunderstorm unless it's a nowcast situation or after the fact.
