    What a horrible day here, been under cloud all day. Happy that you guys down south are having fun! Does anyone think that storm just passing Durham is coming my way?

    Hello all, Can anyone tell me what my chances are of getting something over the weekend, My kids love storms too and are nagging me for answers. I know I have a 70% chance tomorrow at 1600 but understand that can change and it's hard to pin point any storm action. Thanks

    hello all ,not very often i post here but over the past two or so hours the wind gusts have increased enough for me to take note and see whats going on , so far i have found a couple of roof tiles in the back garden with little bits of insulation stuck to the fence(guessing its mine) , not much you may think , but the storm last week damaged my roof to the point water was pouring through the smoke alarm ,as it was connected to the mains i dare not , and would not, try and remove it , so spent the whole day with the alarm sounding till an electrician arrived. im thinking of bringing my two kids down stairs to sleep , my roof seems to be taking a pounding , i love extreme weather, but at the moment ,things are getting a bit wild here..even for my standards. hope everyone else is safe and well

    just had some of that strobe lightning people down south were having the other day..haven't seen that for years , pretty gusty winds also ! .. can see the lower cloud getting sucked up above me..day of radar watching it is then

    the storm(s) over me just now seem to be intensifying ..aircraft at Edinburgh airport are taking a flightpath east then south over my house(which they never do)..engines screaming as they do , can only guess its due to turbulence..must be quite nasty up there

    storm still ongoing here , nothing spectacular, but im not complaining.. do you all think this as the last for my area tonight or will it be worth staying up till after midnight ?

    morning all. seems to be a promising day by the current look of things, even for us up here which makes a change got a nice cell building just to my south east , hopefully it will produce some noise .

    good evening everyone, pretty boring weather up here today, we had fog all day , was hoping it would burn off in time to help things go bang but didnt really start to clear until 3pm . anyways, i would rather ask you guys than rely on the meto... any chance of me seeing anything exciting tomorrow, i know rain is inbound but anything else ? cheers and good luck to you all

    been thundering here for the past half hour , with torrential rain , reports of flooding on some major roads, radar showing more heading this way so looks like this flooding is going to get worse.

    morning all, hope everyone is well. not getting my hopes up for today,even though the forecast for my area is for thunderstorms this afternoon. noticed that nice cluster of activity just of the Irish coast, ive just come off night shift but think i will stay up to see if it has my name on it, looks slightly promising anyway good luck today guys

    afternoon all, the MO has just put a weather warning out for my area tomorrow from 11am onward. not getting excited as looking from what you guys have been posting im lucky to be even getting the word thunder in my forecast . good luck to you all tomorrow though

    hopefully it will move over this way, feeling rather storm starved. . some torrential downpours here last night around 10pm but no light or sound show.

    yeah wish i had got the camera ready now.was planing to but didn't think anything would kick off as it rarely does here lol. i can see the towers you are on about,they do look promising.maybe you will be third time lucky
