We had a few flakes at 8am in St Helens, when I took the dogs out. The sky seemed clear and I thought that was it. Then at around 8:30-8:45 it suddenly went dark and started snowing properly. I don't know what time it stopped around here but it carried on snowing in the Allerton/Sefton Park area of Liverpool until lunchtime. Some nice big flakes were falling on the car on the way into Liverpool. I am now back in St Helens. I'm watching the radar in the hope of some more. My, am I turning into a snow ramper?

A few flashes of lightning here just now, with a bit of heavy rain but it's gone now. Ah well, it was good while it lasted. Er... spoke too soon - it's thundering again! B)

Light snow here this morning. I'm not expecting any to stick, though.

There's been snow here overnight, from around 1am according to the radar. Its falling as sleet atm.

Snow overnight here, there's some on the roof of my car. Which'll have to be cleared now as I'm going to work

I had another bit of light snow at 2:30. Nothing to write home about really :blink:

I've just had a very light snow shower, which was surrounded by blue sky. Wierd, but nice. There's more cloud building up now.

Missed the storm in the early hours due to being asleep. Why did I do overtime today?! Heard thunder in Crosby at 3:30pm. My husband heard it in Warrington sometime this afternoon.

We had snow overnight here. Just on our third snow shower. We've had some hail showers as well. Here's hoping for more.

Gone back to snow now . It's a lot lighter this time though.

It's been lashing down for most of the morning. Rain's finally stopped but we do have a lot of dark cloud and a good breeze.

A few rumbles of thunder heard at 3 o'clock. The skies gradually got darker, then the heavens opened. Heavy rain, almost continuous thunder and several flashes. Eased off about 5 minutes ago, and seems to have passed. However there's another bank of dark cloud heading this way. I can still hear thunder from previous storm.

A few rumbles of thunder and one heavy shower since my last post. Nothing substantial yet but plenty cloud building up.
