  1. First day off work in a fortnight and I was looking forward to going out in my new RX8 for some fun driving. So what does the weather do, it pours down with rain. Rear wheel drive and 230bhp and soaking wet roads just don't mix.
  2. No snow yesterday. Warming up from the weekend so now I'm looking forward to Spring. Overcast here with just the occasional bit of blue sky. Temp 1.5c. Light winds from the east.
  3. Just had a call from my mate sailing just off the coast at Great Yarmouth and he told me he will be late back in tonight at Lowestoft because he is becalmed. Now that isn't something that happens all that often in these parts. No wind whatsoever.
  4. According to the radar Lowestoft has now been sitting under a band of heavy precipitation on and off for about 5 hours. Still not a single drop of anything.
  5. I have been trying to tell everyone to forget what the radar is showing because it isn't snowing or raining here even if the radar is showing that it should be.
  6. We should have had showers on and off for the last few hours according to the radar, it has been as dry as a bone. Have a feeling the radars are not working properly or this is the wrong type of precipitation.
  7. Here in Lowestoft according to all the radars we should have been being snowed on or rained on for the past few hours when in reality there has been nothing.
  8. Really wouldn't take a lot of notice of the weather radars at the moment. Lowestoft should have had rain or snow a few times this morning according to the radar but it has been as dry as a bone here.
  9. Murky and horrible here. Minus 1c. A picture I took at Fritton Woods yesterday.
  10. Yes it is part Suffolk Punch without a doubt. And there was a nice big shelter for him.
  11. The Met Office have my area at 7c on Sunday. That gives me 3 more days to go out and take some nice wintry photographs. Here is another one I took of Herringfleet Mill yesterday afternoon. Note the frozen water.
  12. Back from my walk in the countryside, took this picture of a very handsome but cold looking horse in a snow covered field.
  13. Went for a walk to Herringfleet this afternoon and took this snap. Thought it had a bit of a Dickensian feel to it. So I will dedicate this to the great man on his 200th birthday. It was minus 5c according to my iphone app. My shutter finger very nearly ended up with frost bite. All the canals were frozen.
