    I am fairly new, i read more than i comment. I just love this!!!! My daughter and i are avid winter weather watchers.We both think it is going to be bad this year. Just a silly observation but this year as with 2009 and2010 we had a lot of garden spiders come the autumn,but last year dont recall many, if any. Hope this a good omen

    Have heard conflicting reports on this winter,some say mild and some say cold.I suppose it will be what it will be Would like to see some snow though.

    Hi all, As a newbie, could anyone tell me the longest time that the jetstream has remained static,could we still have the jetstream further south than usual come winter time?

    Hi i'm Dee-Dee I have just joined, i Know i have left it a bit late re:- regional disscusions.I have been following the weather over the past few months. I am no expert but am trying to learn. I sometimes pop into the model output disscusions but sometimes it well and truly goes over my head. I hope to make new weather friends and continue to learn when the forum starts up again later this year. Hope to hear from you Dee Dee
