heavy rain just started south of chesterfield

just had a nice storm pass directly over chesterfield. and looks like more could be heading this way!

a nice rumble or two just heard to my east, mansfield way its coming!!!

very tempted to drive out east a bit from chesterfield and see what we can see. this thing doesnt seem to be moving very quickly or its growing as it goes. dark clouds again to our south, east and west.

evening Paul, yeah its the notts one, albeit the western edge of it i believe. the strikes seem to fracture around chesterfield, mainly passing east but some passing west. it was the western edge where i spotted the funnel, i caught the second time it dropped on the video. Dell

Good Evening Everyone, first time poster but ive been reading this forum for a very long time and what a great resource it is, so thank you for all the heads up! right, im based just to the south of chesterfield, we've just had a lovely storm pass overhead again. looking out towards the west of this storm i spotted what looks like (to me) a funnel cloud forming. i have managed to video it, but im not the best with a camcorder and autofocus wasnt playing ball. but you can see the funnel drop, quite rapidly. just want opinions on if it is what it really looked like. thanks, Dell
