    Hopefully Eastbourne will get some more today if Brighton is still having heavy snow,although we have a lot here!

    Continually heavy in Eastbourne since about 5.00pm. Very windy as well. Seems to have caught many by suprise as Kings Drive ,which is normally well gritted , was at a crawl. Middle of my garden now measures just over 8cm and it is still coming down!

    A27 was ok 45 mins ago but as I said earlier be surprised,pleasantly I hope, when you get to Eastbourne.

    Just arrived home from Lewes and Eastbourne was a big surprise! Laying everywhere and far heavier than further inland.You wait. Where I live ( Prideaux Rd) is actually getting difficult to drive up.

    I ran from Eastbourne Youth Hostel to Butts Brow and back this morning in my shorts and T- Shirt . The air was mild and the ground muddy and wet. Tomorrow and Monday should I do the same would probably class me as certifiable or really tough or really stupid. The projected change in 24 hours is quite something.

    Raining all day in Eastbourne.Dogs very muddy after walk on Downs. Felt very cold whilst walking. It may be imagination/ wwishful thinking but it does seem as if some sleety bits are mixing into the rain.

    A light dusting of snow tomorrow in parts of Sussex. Seems hard to believe at the moment. However the Met Office may change it to sleet and rain .

    Certainly cold today. Should have worn gloves whilst walking dogs on downs just above eastbourne.something brewing I think. A pint of Harvey's probably......

    I have been outside all afternoon and it has become very cold and raw here. A real creeping cold. Just need some ppn.I am in Lewes by the way!

    Heavy rain in eastbourne still. The whole snow event is 50 miles further east than predicted but not close enough to the sunshine coast!

    Temps just a tad to high in Eastbourne.need to drop two or three degrees .

    Constant snow all day in Eastbourne,seems to pep up every now and then.Sky looks full of snow.Some very low temperatures predicted for tonight.Any chance of a wrap a round keeping the snow going here?

    Picked up a lot in Lewes now.Settling and very cold in wind.

    very wet in Lewes but hoping for something in Eastbourne tonight. Close to call this one but Eastbourne did well a few years ago from a wrap around,in fact it was several years ago if I remember!

    Wet ,grey and cold in Eastbourne. Ran on Downs this morning and forgot gloves....fingers very cold. From my kitchen I have gradually watched the Downs disappear under mist and cloud. Over the past 3 years we have done well for snow here so I am optimistic about next week.

    So do I ,having cycled there many times whilst staying at Duinrell. I also did windsurfing there on a school trip.

    With almost permanent greyness here some blue sky's and crisp cold days seem like fantasy land...however I am very hopeful . 1947 did not really kick in until late January!!! However 1947 may be more than we could handle!

    Normans Bay was very nice. Clear blue sky and a nice 8 degrees . Dogs loved it and we're not covered in mud. My hope now are for a gradual move to crisp cold days with a memorable cold spell. Can anyone shed light on the seemingly mythical " Presutti polar winter" that I have seen mentioned on various forums? Thanks.

    Lovely day in Eastbourne.Off to walk the dogs at Normans Bay ,last time I did that I could hardly stand up on the beach due to lashing wind and rain!

    A bouncy cocker spaniel,I saw you in the distance.I was with a german shepherd and a poodle cross. I walked up to Butts Brow and around ,it is a good place to see the rain coming over the downs!

    Windy and chilly in Eastbourne and a sharp shower.Blue sky but dark clouds coming over the Downs .I watched the runners in the Beachy Head marathon along the ridge to Butts Brow and there was quite a wind chill about 9.30am,not many runners in shorts!
