  1. Nobody mentioned anything about 100mph+ guts at Falkirk (well, you did) but nonetheless if the system deepens and moves a touch closer to the shoreline (entirely possible), then yes, the winds will pick up inland. Right now nobody knows what will unfold. It might even head further east and we mainly all miss a bullet. I'd stick to Fife coast being hammered though.
  2. Just a reminder, if they issue one, what a Red Warning is: Folks on the Fife coast, for example, just about on the cusp of that going by the latest charts. ^
  3. And yet the Met office has EDI in the amber warning area. BTW, a slight wobble to the southwest (even 5 nautical miles) as the system dives south and it is very likely to affect inland. Wait and see still.
  4. How many times in 100 years (there must be records kept somewhere) have we seen a northerly hurricane 12 forecast for the Forth? Has to be very unusual.
  5. Radar says snaw and lots of it as front moves inland. Last minute upgrade??
  6. Here we go. Another round just started and it's bang on track to last long time.
  7. Notice how this particular blob doubled in size within 10 minutes. Definitely being enhanced in the Firth.
  8. Was impressive. Relentless for at least 30 mins. At least a good few cms out of that. Haven't measured any snow today but I'd guess over 25cm. Will check in morning.
  9. Plenty coming in still. They literally gather pace as they enter the Forth estuary. Conditions ripe all night I reckon.
  10. Still ongoing, absolutely smashing down for almost 30 mins.
