The Winter Beast

Hi all. I am new to the forum. I have watched the forum however over the last 2 - 3 years. I have to say I have learnt a lot from some of the discussions on here. I find the model output over the last few days very interesting. Going on trend from what I have seen and read over the last few years, once the cold arrives it can become very difficult to break down and so I would say next weekend could be a repeat of Feb 2012 where the models were showing a quick breakdown whereas by the Thursday the models changed and certainly the eastern side of the country saw approx 6 inches of snow. The cold re-asserted itself and we saw another snow event 5 days later. Looking forward to the runs later today and tomorrow. The latest GFS run still shows lots of potential next week and is consistent that the cold/very cold is still on course.
