    Just seen the forecast and I've got to say im pretty shocked, bright yellow over middlesbrough and right up the north east, i might finally see a decent storm during the night, the question is do i go to sleep and miss the action or stay awake haha

    Lovely and cool tonight, may get a decent night sleep. what's the chances of us seeing a night time thunderstorm over the next week, must be pretty high, i cannot remember the last time we had a storm that lasted a few hours during the night, fingers crossed guys.

    well that was a great snow storm last night, plenty of dripping from the guttering now, the thaw has started. I looking forward to a week or so of mild weather then hopefully a reload from the north

    Snowmeggdon, apparently its on a pay as you play deal, bernie slaven has tweeted the same thing tonight, hope its not true though. Still coming down here also, must have an inch of snow here now, hope it continues.

    Still coming down heavy here, shame its gone after tomorrow, still a week and a half of snow and ice on the ground is really good going for my neck of the woods!!! Anyone got any thoughts on the comings weeks, seems to be a mixed bag in the model thread.

    Well we have had an extra cm or two over the last couple of hours, stopped now seems to be thinning out the cloud here and the temperature is dropping but everywhere is white over, just how we like it. Smowmeggedon is it still coming down near you?

    Just nipped out to the shop and i didn't realise how deep the snow was still on the pavement, the majority of that snow fell last Tuesday, if we hadntt of missed out so much Friday and last night, could of been a Dec 2010 total. Still lying snow for a week is still good going, im giving this cold spell 5/10, not bad could of been better, the one thing lacking was the 4 or 5 nights of serious cold and sunshine during the day.

    Guys a bit of hope wind has dropped and we are now getting a covering of hail and light snow, covering the slush, just need a good half hour of this now:)

    If there is such a thing as the wrong type of snow, well we have at the moment, I will say one thing though its colder today than it was last night. Can someone just explain the wind direction, is it still coming from the south east?

    What an absolute joke this has turned out to be for teesside, no fresh snow, roads a slushy mess and pavements just icey as hell were the snow has gone, I've had enough of this now lol
