  1. WYorksWeather May is actually our sunniest month on average here oddly enough so wouldn’t surprise me, fingers crossed
  2. richie3846 it’s fine, no worries, I understand I’m sorry I didn’t word it clearly enough. Hope you are getting some support hugs.
  3. richie3846 hey…cool your heels, if you read the part where I said gaslighting it was in reference to met office weather reporter saying we had a wet winter and I was thinking ‘and the rest’ it wasn’t a dig at you, relax ok
  4. Azazel I feel for you, we had 6 weeks of lovely weather from mid May last year til the last week of June. July wasn’t great, august faired a little better but still below average, the first week of September was lovely and very warm but otherwise it’s been mostly pants…dull and wet for the most part, summer has to be better this year
  5. richie3846 not that I wish that on anyone, rather them than us after the weather we’ve had but at least they’ve had some real good spring warmth and sun unlike us, it’s looking like all eyes on May now until we see temps of anything close to 21c/70f or above. i saw the met office ten day trend and he mentioned about the wet winter we had, no mention of the wet autumn most of us had or the summer and spring which was wetter than average in many areas, many of us are very weary….Call it what it was, don’t gaslight us Look at all this blue in areas that are usually the driest
  6. *Stormforce~beka* we can as we did have another late ssw didn’t we? can only hope we have a really long extended sunny warm period like we did last year but longer and July and august turn out nice. this is feeling like a really long slog. Well at least we have some proper sunny days coming up with lighter winds, though only 15-17c if we’re lucky, should still feel pleasant enough though I can’t wait for temps of 21c and above reliably. The rain has relented too so it’s steps in the right direction albeit small ones
  7. Frigid I wouldn’t mind if we’d had very warm spells but the warmest it’s been here is 19c, I think we are all just desperate for proper warmth now after the wet and dullness of the past several months, now the sun has started to appear so has this friggin wind, hopefully the warmth will come in May
  8. But it is sunny spells and dry, lots of cloud about though, we have to take our mercies
  9. Currently at my allotment, it’s 10c here and a cold breeze, that’s well below average, I can’t wait for some warmth hope we don’t have to wait until mid May like last year
  10. AWD yes it’s sunny here this afternoon, it was a little cloudy this morning but there’s just constant wind so it’s not warm but I’ll take it. We have over 100 hours of sunshine to get for the rest of this month to achieve average, hopefully we can do it
  11. Clear blue skies here after rain first thing this morning, feeling pretty fresh amd cool, can’t wait for some proper warmth and not feel chilly
  12. It’s lovely in Exeter, a little bit of high cloud but compared to what we had I’ll take it, feeling warm too, nice to feel the sun
  13. Summer8906 it is dull here now, clouded over late morning the sheer cloudy days we’ve had let alone rain is just ridiculous, hoping for brighter days soon for us all
  14. It’s actually becoming clearer, what sorcery is this god I hope it stays like this. scarified my lawn and over seeded 3 weeks ago, hopefully this sun will finally start the germination process!
  15. It’s actually becoming clearer, what sorcery is this god I hope it stays like this
  16. Alderc 2.0 currently sunny spells in Exeter, doesn’t look as though it’ll last though but at least it’s dry, small mercies
  17. In Absence of True Seasons met office are always very negative with their sun symbols, I’m sure it’ll be more sunny that they are indicating for you
  18. Feels chilly today, im so desperate for some warmth and sun that lasts all day. I’ve got a feeling we’ll have to wait for May to come (yet again thanks to the late ssw) before we see temps of 22c or above widely, I don’t think we’ve barely reached 17c here yet this year.
  19. Earthshine I feel the same, if only it was as easy for us to immigrate to other countries like it seems to be for some to immigrate here. I love England but the weather balance leans far too often to the dull or wet, there is no where better than the uk on a warm cloudless sunny day though, we have so many beautiful scenic places.
  20. I think most of us are feeling the same way, the sun seems to have been down graded a little this week, hopefully it’ll revert back….can’t wait to have months and months on the trot of average sunshine, let alone above average, this pattern has got to break at some point hopefully the second part of spring, to have this continue into the summer months would be just downright cruel.
  21. B87 so true, it didn’t warm up until mid May last year but what a beautiful 6 weeks it was. I also hope we don’t have to wait until then either for a long settle warm period, not especially after the past several months have been. It was showery this morning and wind was howling whilst I was at my allotment this morning but currently sunny but feels very cool, wind has finally died down. I’m so desperately hoping we have a nice latter part of spring and a decent summer. I keep reading different things one way or the other. It’s times like these where I really starts to envy not living on a continent and having a continental climate where you know it’s going to be have guaranteed decent sunshine amounts, like 2000+ hours annually
  22. B87 what was the annual sunshine forgures for both those years, surely we’ll above 2000 hours?
  23. After all these above average rainfall months we’ve had in England and wales etc I was wondering if what the record is for how many consecutive above average sunshine months we’ve had? Thankyou As you were…
  24. Weather Enthusiast91 I’d like to live in a climate with proper seasons too. we are so overdue but I think asking for 9 months of above average sunshine from here on out might be too much to ask but I hope for all our sakes we do have a nice end to spring, a sunny warm summer and sunny warm first half of autumn to make up for the weather we’ve endured since last autumn
  25. Weather Enthusiast91 well yes, in winter, it’s time for sun and warmth now, wish it would hurry and get here
