Does anyone know if it will snow in Sherborne, Dorset? I am about 30 miles North of Weymouth! I am hoping for some at least, we dont really get much here usually but I would love to wake up in the morning to be able to show my 9 year old daughter who has never really seen much snow and go and build snowmen and go sledging! Praying and fingers crossed for SNOW!!!!!

Thunder & lightning woke me up at about 5am this morning.....lots of strikes and cracking thunder and boy didn't it rain....!!! Still feeling very muggy and sun going in and out as i write....hope we are in for some more night time displays...tc all Carly x

Just started looking very stormy here.....no stars out, little drops of rain from time to time and feeling very warm indeed....no lightning showing up on live storm data yet, but its gotta kick off somewhere....lets hope its Dorset...got torches and candles at the ready.... I'll report back if we get any storms...tc Carly x

Rumbles of thunder here frequently since about 4.40pm...still going now....not sure if we are in for much but a show like last nights would be good! tc Carly x

Snow getting a little heavier as I type!!! woohhooo!!!

Had light snow grains falling since about 9 a.m. here in Dorset.....very very cold outside......don't think snow is gonna amount to anything significant....oh well....maybe soon!! stay warm Carly x

Been thundering here quite intense since about 4pm..just rumbling around then gets bad again....frequent power failures and very heavy rain.....gonna make this short and sweet before I lose power again.....got some brill video footage too....take care you lot!! Lets hope when dark arrives it carries on some more... Carly xx

wwwwooooooooowwww! Don't post here much, mainly read but have to tell you about last nights spectacular!! It started with loads of lightning in the distance from about 11pm, when I dragged myself outside to hope for the best storm yet......and yes, I was right! About 1140pm the lightning was flashing all around non stop and then the thunder started....torrential rain, which soaked our gardens and streets in seconds, and we took some wicked pictures with our digital camera...I don't know how to post them but if someone could do it for I would be pleased to share! There seemed to be a few storms passing over last night and it continued till 1.15am when I finally retired to my bed, to watch the lightning from my bedroom window....finally getting to sleep about 1.45.....Its a shame we didn't have a power cut last night cos I had all my candles lit ready for it.....
