Afternoon all, Based on Wunderground, temperatures still at -1C, fog hasn’t lifted all day, though is a little lighter than earlier. Forecast top temp during daytime hours was 4C… assuming the milder temperatures will still sweep across later as the winds move to a SE’ly direction. But it could easily mean anything is falling onto frozen surfaces!

Yes, to continue the theme of this spell of the Met seeming to overcook the temperatures a little - max was forecast for 3-4C I think, but it struggled to get above 1C. Forecast now shows 1C at 7pm, but it appears we’re looking at -1/-2C at the moment. I can only hope this continues on and bodes well for the forecast (rain) showers tomorrow and other LP systems coming over the coming days! Ever the optimist

Good evening all! Like many others, a sniff of snow and cold has dragged me back, hope everyone is doing well. Always find these set ups interesting, even if we end up disappointed! My straw I’m going to be clutching for today/tomorrow is the temperatures. Currently, met office say 4C for 9pm. Wunderground shows somewhere between 0C-2C being the reality. Here’s hoping for some surprise dustings tomorrow!

Well it got here, as snow. However then changed to a sleety/snowy mix before finally turning to rain, freezing rain I’d assume given the air and ground temperatures, so may be lethal out there now! Temps and DP’s look conducive to snow so I wonder what is missing? Always sad to see potential snow wasted, but at least I saw it falling for about 5 mins.

Morning all! Awoken to the first frost of the season! Long time no post, though I do sporadically dip in. Colder start than forecast this morning, -1/-2 currently looking at Wunderground; contrast to yesterday which was a degree or two higher than predicted. Looks like some wintry showers into Devon and Cornwall as predicted, anyone under these managed to get some snow?
