well its been a while since I was last here but over the last few days we have had a total of 15.5 inches of lying level snow!!! I am on the Western Outskirts of Derby. Not seen that much snow for a god many years.....

hey guys not been on in ages!! Very heavy snow here, steady heavy snow for 2 hours now got about 2 inches possible 3 I am not going out to find out!!

Nice one Andy.. Being in Derby and recording 31.9c on a north facing wall of a shed but still even old time members find it hard to believe things without having seen it first... I know where you are coming from.... and I've been here since 05 and that was when I registered!! But noooo I must be a nubie becaue I don't often post and so there fore must be lying.......... My this place has got caravany since ~I was last here. What happened to taking people at face value eh???? God you sceptics are going to good working out very very soon............. Be as sceptical as you want but for gods sake don't close you minds..........

Good God, what the hell has happened to the weather........... it is MAFFTING here in Central England , Derby......... last night it didn't get below 23c at 2am in the morning!!!! :o I know this coz I was stood nakie in the garden and it was horribly hot and humid... it was 21c at 7 am this morning... It is currently 31.9c in the shade on a north facing shed wall, my poor animals are flaked out.... Am about to dunk the 4 guinea pigs and the rabbit in a bath of cold water!!! that should sort them out seeing at it is 35c in our conservatory even with the doors open and a fan on full blast... Me thinks we are in trouble when the SUN wakes up!!!!!! July 7th CME..................God help us. Come back winter all is forgiven..

Morning Paul, well what a night, i posted just after midnight about the torrential rain and when I woke up at 8.30 this morning it was still raining very heavily. what's the state of the trent??.... we are taking all the kids flood hunting today.i know seems bad but its fun ........... thr derwent should be gushing today..........

I have just retired to bed and the rain is torrential and has been the same for the last 4 hours!!!! I have never in all me 37 yrs , ever known rain this heavy for so long............. what on earth is happening to our climate???? I suspect the mornings news will be full of reports of more floods only this time in the Derbyshire area.............

Jhn, I think a few of us are up early this morning, been up since 6am!! *cough* back to the weather According tot eh radar we had a few snow showers last night but nothing on the ground. Temps 3.1c, not dropped any lower overnight. Lets hope we at least see a snow flake today but Im not so confident it all seems to be veering east and missing us.

Was my partner dreaming or did he hear thunder this morning??? I woke up and he said that he thought he heard thunder about 5.50am this morning!!! Only thing is he's a gardener and didn't think we could get thunder in the winter??? Any ideas, we're in the Derby area, smack bang in the middle of the country!!! I reccon he was dreaming it or the booze from last night hadn't worn off by then

Is it just me or has the wind completely changed direction..... Looking at the radar it seems to be coming from the East now and is predicted to do so all afternoon.... We have aboput 2 cm here in Derby it gets heavy then lighter then heavy again.... Temps holding steady between 0.2 -0.4c... Lets hope it stalls on me the kids have had to go to school and were NOT happy about it!!!

hey hey hey!!!! we have about an inch of snow this morning.... THe campervans look cute in their white blankets.... It's uite icy underfoot.... I did get some weird looks from the bloke next door bimbling around taking pics in my PJs Torz
