  1. Are you being serious ? We are one day into the cold spell
  2. Just watched the BBC weather and they said storm Eunice will be windy with 60/70 MPH gusts around possible , no where near as severe as the charts we have been viewing especially around the South west, are they viewing different data ?
  3. I wouldn’t worry what the apps say, they have been totally wrong for me, had me down for zero snow on the met app this morning for all day today and it hasn’t stopped snowing all day, They have both been way off with precipitation and temperature .
  4. The big band of snow has reached Brentwood, heaviest of the day after a day of light snow, now settling
  5. Hi Daniel on the home and dry chart this big band just fizzles out, are you hopeful that it keeps its intensity ?
  6. Temp dropped by 0.5c in 30 mins to -0.6c and now the light snow is settling on all surfaces here in Brentwood
  7. Light snow blowing in the wind in Brentwood, very light covering on cars temp 1.2c
  8. That’s not creeping towards Chelmsford ! You need to look in the North Sea to see what snow you may receive if any
  9. Hi Tom have you got an estimate for snow depths for around Brentwood/Billericay areas ? thanks
  10. I’ve been monitoring this radar all day, it looks great for the whole SE doesn’t it
  11. Hi Matt out of all the precipitation charts with which most are still showing different outcomes from tonight/ tomorrow what would you say would be the best and most reliable at this timeframe ? As quite a lot now have my location (Brentwood slightly to west and north) as I still see some which have me in with a good shout for a decent covering still. thanks
  12. Just looked at numerous models and it seems to be less of a feature than want I was hoping and doesn’t get far in land, where I live in Brentwood only get the scraps which is accurate to what the Met office now has me down for (was 6 hours of heavy snow then 5 of light snow) now it’s only a few hours of light snow and then a few hours of dry. Tomorrow night there’s seems to be more of a chance with showers and streamers. still time for upgrades though f
  13. The BBC have just released their latest forecast and they said up to 20cm’s in places towards the east of our region tomorrow but they are uncertain how far west the snow will reach but she said they should know later.
  14. Hi Hammer I believe the warnings are for ice as well as snow, so the warning for Wednesday with temps below freezing ice will become a real issue, I expect warnings to increase for ice/snow on Thursday as well. On a side note, Another 3 points for us later ⚒⚒ Edit : I see someone else responded
