  1. looks like there’s another active storm moving up through similar areas from earlier. bit of back building/ training in action. great to see so early in the year
  2. just noticed the 700mb winds are se'ly. i wonder if this could form a streamer for the south coast as there a fair bit of light precipitation forming and heading towards iow possibly more north. something to keep an eye on
  3. seen reports of a tornado in east manchester. has ripped someone’s roof off. was ona severe weather page on facebook
  4. that’s a hell of a lot of dry air being pulled into the centre. definitely got sting jet potential on that
  5. part of what ya saying is true but i think central south is a prime loacation for convection. i saw a high end f2 tornado last oct that was 300m wide with several small damaging vortices within. it traveled 63 km inland
  6. wasn’t t expecting the temperature to be this high today! must be a fault with the station recording the temps
  7. ye si was so surprised as i thought there was a squall line moving through not a supercell. there was a break in the line which caused it think. i did and saw this a few mins later up the road
  8. thank you was mesmerising i really didn’t k it where to look i. the sky and on the ground. i did hear about this unfortunately is quite far for me to travel
  9. fair enough, oh dear that’s not good bet you was kicking yourself. yes that was from the same storm here’s my vid from the cliff top
  10. yes it was me that posted it. was such a sight. i wish i got ahead of it to film the damage as it happened. ah wow that was defo the storm. i literally pulled up in the car park at barton cliff top and there it was. no worries i can send you the full vid if you want
  11. i know this is old news but i witnessed a very large waterspout/tornado last year. After torro did their research they found that the parent cell traveled 62 inland producing at least 3 tornadoes maybe more . i caught the first one as it came in at barton on sea. was quite a sight to say the least. wasn’t your standard water spout as had a broad rotation with lots of spin ups within. seeing the damage first hand was like something out of a movie lol. i know i’ll probably never see anything like this again but with a warming world who knows! These aren’t my photos neither is the written info but thought i’d share it for. the torro forum i’m on
  12. dramatic skys north east of new milton, had a few rumbles from this. must be what matt111 can see to
  13. led right up the garden path again. to get snow on the coast is wishful thinking in a set up like this anyway. i hope you all enjoy the snow if you’ve got it
  14. some very interesting output from the models the last few days. i really hope we don’t get led up the garden path again tho as has happened more than enough this winter. praying we can get these tasty charts within t24
  15. my best highlights of 2022 was the barton on sea tornado which caused t5 damage in places which is phenomenal for this country. saw it first hand to which was experience in its self let alone seeing my first waterspout then tornado and not just a normal one as was a multiple vortex. as it came in off the sea i could see the mesocyclone spinning rapidly which must have been 500m across with several funnels touching the water and a horizontal funnel being sucked in from right hand hand side. torro estimated the tornado to be 300m wide at its widest point and this occurred a couple miles in land and also where i saw the worst damage. i will remember this for a lifetime! 16. i know this is old news but some may be interested. it’s been confirmed that the waterspout i saw at barton on sea went on land to be a t4 multiple vortex tornado with slight t5 damage in places that traveled 11 km before lifting with max width of 300m
  17. weyyy i made the bournemouth echo with my interview and video VIDEO: "Mini-tornado" causes havoc ripping off roofs and bringing down trees WWW.BOURNEMOUTHECHO.CO.UK WITNESSES filmed what they described as a "mini tornado" as it ripped through Barton-on-Sea into Ashley. Here’s a edited video of the original waterspout/tornado clip i recorded the other day at barton on sea. i’ve changed the contrast in the video to highlight the cloud more and you can defo see rotation on the water with separate vortices wrapping around the main one as it hits land. i know this sound crazy for this country but could this have nearly been a fully formed rain wrapped multiple vortex wedge if the main area of rotation touched the ground as it moved over land. i’d like any experts on stuff like this to possibly give me a hand in working what was going on with this pretty rare event. when i took the vid there was so much going on to take in what was happening as there was so much going on under the mesocyclone and also i he only just pulled up in the car park so didn’t have to to watch it fully come in which was a real shame. 18. thanks for referring me. a farm took some bad damage. a large 100 gallon lpg storage tank was ripped from the floor and gas was leaking everywhere. they shut the road as was to dangerous for anyone in the area. i showed the farm owners the footage and said a tornado may have came through
  19. so i thought i’d take a trip down barton on sea to see this storm coming in. as soon as i arrived i could see rotation on the water with the maddest right to left motion the meso was several 100 yards across rapidly spinning with a couple funnels. as it hit land it kept its intensity so i thought i take a look to see if there was any damage in land an to my surprise there was. a farm had been hit and had a major gas leak as it ripped an lpg canister from the ground and the barns were all over the place with corrugated sheet everywhere with a wall taken out, across the road there was an oak tree snapped in half completely and up the tree the on the field had a lot of damage with bare twisted wood all the the way along . i’m actually buzzing in what i just witnessed and probably will never see that again. ive made a short film out of the footage and pictures for everyone to see IMG_4148.MOV
  20. never seen so much low level shear earlier before dark. you can clearly see the low level cloud accelerating one way and the mid/upper level the other way.
  21. thanks was just before dark. had it on night mode on my phone which brings out the contrast. 1 min after this photo it was pitch black with copious amounts of lightning and rain. was amazing!! had another storm tonight which came from no where. had a positive cg close by which sounded great. missus and kids weren’t to happy tho
  22. lovely squall line developing on the radar. had several flashes so far in new milton
