  1. Last rain 28th May. I bought a water butt that day but am sending it back for a refund because it does not work
  2. Now 33.6 in the shade. Hottest day so far, and that is still with a few clouds.
  3. We got the cider and beer too, scotch, irish cream liquer, brandy and a few crisps for the kids .. just in case of course -2.5 and about 1 inch wild little flakes ... so far
  4. Temp 1.4 here now, it was 6.1 at 3pm so big drop. Sleet and a bit of the white stuff ... Getting excited !!
  5. Hello all, Just hit 28.5 here in the back garden. Dog has flaked and the cats are floppy but the bananna trees are growing like goodens. Bit of breeze but that is good.
  6. Yep also here in Southampton, I will hold on for the plants too. Am on a meter so I am hoping for a few drips at least. Storm is looking hopeful as the clouds are getting thick and the temp is going upl
  7. 30.4 here at the mo. Hottest part of the day usually in my garden. Few storms nearing Jersey and Guernsey and I am hopeful
  8. I highly recommend them, such friendly girls, I pick them up and cuddle them, my 4 and 8 year old kiddies do as well, and the eggs are to die for. They are not like birds, more like a Veloceraptor towards dogs and cats. Its the way they look at them ( wanna a piece of me? Do ya Do ya !! ? ) .... They have my big dog and 3 cats totally spooked . I don't have to get up at 5 or any earlier for them either, they are not fussy, as long as they have food and water they are happy and giving good eggs ( I only have two so they are no problem. Called Maud and Mabel ) The fox is the only animal that would hurt them. Ah yes its currently 2 degrees outside with a North by NW breeze feeling like -2 in the wind chill. Chance of snow ? :search:Oh and its a full moon ..
  9. They do come out but not for long as their little feet will freeze. I put extra wood chippings down and keep them in the pen or they can get frost bite very easily on their feet. As long as it does not go below -20 they like the cold. Perhaps I could get them some little wellies
  10. Just had a decent snow fall on the way back from the school run. About 1 inch so far settling in the garden and its 1 degree. So I have very happy kiddies, a cold dog, indifferent cats and miffed chickens. Gonna be a good day.
  11. Broken down ? Now .edit .. ... 0:11 am saying 33mph. They must have been woken up by the wind I went outside for my last ciggy and I saw such a beautiful bright moon and the odd cloud passing overhead so fast, it felt like I was on a speed boat. Mesmerising and awe inspiring to say the least. Eye of the storm? I do not know but its jolly windy here. My chicken coop is still on the ground and the girls (Maud and Mabel ) are safe I hope... Take care everyone
  12. Sorry to hear that Wormster, It is so sad when we loose our trees, .. any tree.
  13. She has just run in thank goodness, .. It's getting quite a hooly out there. Cats, dog, fish, family and chickens are now safe .. Now I can sleep and listen to the ****ing wind ... Forget the sleep bit
